West Windsor Walks

The WWBPA is organizing a series of walks in West Windsor Township to get feedback from people about desired and needed improvements to provide better and safer bike and pedestrian access in our neighborhoods and connection our communities, and making some progress on improvements.

The first one is scheduled for Tuesday Sept. 5, at 6:00 p.m. Meet at the Turning Basin Park in Princeton on Alexander Road, and we will walk to look at the conditions of the road at the "S" curve. This is segment of road is known as one of the most dangerous areas in the township and while plans are underway for long-term improvements, I have requested some interim remedies that might help make the road environment better now, like striping the white lines that outline the lanes and new yellow stiping for the center -- both are faded. Some overhead lighting to improve nighttime visabiltiy and a lower speed limit might also be a good start.
