What is Walk Score?

This Web site is designed to assist homebuyers, renters, and real estate agents find houses and apartments in great neighborhoods.

Walk Score shows the user a map of what's nearby and calculates a Walk Score for any property. Type in your address and you will get its score and a list of what's nearby.

Go to http://www.walkscore.com/ to find out your the Walk Score for your house.

It helps a prospective buyer/resident find a location by its walkablity, and maybe to plan features to add to a neighborhood to increase its score, i.e. walkability/livability.

Why? Because buying a house in a walkable neighborhood is good for your health and good for the environment.
