July 4th trail blazing!

On July 4th, thirteen trail-blazing patriots worked hard on the new Zaitz Preserve Trails. Volunteers laid down a wood chip path from the parking lot along the perimeter of the corn field to the trail head. The path to the forest trails is now obvious, which is great. The group then turned their attention to clearing the trails in the forest, and to taking down a deer stand. There's a lot more to do, so stay tuned for more trailwork. Coming soon will be trail signs and an improved bridge. Stop by and enjoy the trails! And thanks to all the volunteers!
