On this cold and sleety Sunday morning in New Jersey when non but the very brave and misguided are out cycling, 'tis the season to stay inside and watch some of these films found on the Cycling Films Big List featuring over 100 films from more that 23 countries.

Cold-Schmold! Kiosk moving at Zaitz!

A group of intrepid and cold-resistant volunteers got together on a 35 degree Saturday morning on November 22nd to move the Kiosk built by Eagle Scout Matt Hasling from the Zaitz soccer field to its rightful place at the Zaitz Woods Nature Preserve. Moving the 200 or so pound kiosk was no mean feat. Luckily we were led by Kevin Appelget, who helped us defy gravity and a brisk wind as we dug out the kiosk from its original location, maneuvered it onto Kevin's trailer (the hardest part by far), and planted it fimly in its new resting place at the back of the Zaitz preserve parking lot.The kiosk will have trail maps and information on the local flora and fauna in the preserve.

Five of us later walked the trails and re-positioned trail posts to which trail markers will be added.

Volunteers today: Andrew Kully, Matt Halpin, Jerry Foster, Jenny Yu, Annie Sharfstein, Linda and Ashley Geevers, Silvia Ascarelli, Ron Slinn (on his birthday!), and yours truly (Ken Carlson).
