Warm December Day on the Millstone Trails

We had a terrific turnout today for trail clearing on the Millstone trails. The weather was a balmy 65 degrees, and a crew of about 25 cleared both the east and west trails in no time! The crew included members of a local girl scout troop as well as members of the High School North Cross Country Running Team. We have closed out 2008 with several miles of cleared trails for everyone to enjoy. We look forward to new trails in the new year!

Women's Garden Cyclers Bike Tour film screening locally Friday Jan. 2

Garden Cycles Bike Tour Presents: Faces from the New Farm

This short film, chronicling a cycling journey made last summer, will be shown locally at 4 p.m. on the opening day of the 2009 Princeton Environmental Film Festival, Friday January 2, at the Princeton Public Library. Lara Sheets, Liz Tylander, and Kat Shiffler made the 2,000 mile bicycle trip to explore the budding sustainable agriculture and local food movement. From the mid-Atlantic up into New England and Canada (including Princeton) they discover people and communities finding solutions to the environmental excesses of industrialized agriculture. More info on the film and the Women's Garden Cycles Bike Tour.
